DESERT TRIP FROM MARRAKECH IN 7 DAYS ITINERARY
DAY 1
Transfer from airport to your hôtel/riad in Marrakech where you will spend the first night. Depending on your arrival time, you will have the opportunity to visit the medina of Marrakech, the colorful souks and you will enjyo the joyful animation ot the Jemaa el Fna place at night.
DAY 2
Departure after breakfast from your hotel, by 4x4 to the village of Foum Zguid in moroccan Sahara desert. We will have lunch and tea en route in a restaurant. Guided visit of the Kasbah of Omhench with historical explanation by local guide. We spend the night in a charmant hôtel where we will enjoy a typical moroccan meal.
DAY 3
After breakfast we leave by 4x4 to the desert of Zaouia where we will visit ksar and the mausoleum of the Marabout/Saint of Sidi Abdenabi. Then we will have 10 minutes walk to the guest house Zaouia. After luch you will enjoy our traditional hammam and the local guide will tell you the history of "Tombouctou 52 days". Dinner around a burning fire under the stars with tuareg music.
DAY 4
After breakfast departure with camels to the desert of sand dunes. The bivouac will be installed and after lunch we will go for a ride with the camels in the dunes. We will have our dinner under the stars and around fire.
DAY 5
After breakfast, departure to cross the desert by camels to the Nomadic school where we will share a beautiful moment with the students around lunch table. The bivouac will be installed next to the nomads. Dinner under the milky way.
DAY 6
After breakfast, we leave for a ride with camels through the largest sand dune in Moroccan Sahara called Erg Chegaga. En route, a picnic will be served under the shade of a Tamaris (Tamarixaphylla), then we will continue our way to the great dune where the bivouac will be installed. Our guide will tell you about the life of the nomads. After sharing a cup of tea, we will climb to the top of the big dune to admire the wonderful sunset. Our cook is preparing a special nomadic dinner.
DAY 7
After breakfast we go back by 4x4 to Marrakech crossing the village of Mahamid Elghezlan. En route we'll have lunch at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. Then we continue our journey to Marrakech.
