DESERT TRIP FROM MARRAKECH IN 3 DAYS ITINERARY

DAY 1

Marrakech-High Atlas moutains-Ouarzazate-Zagora.

Departure from Marrakech at 8 AM crossing the High-Atlas moutains where you will have a wonderful panoramic view. In Ouarzazate we visit the Ait Ben Haddou ksar where the moovies "Gladiator" and "Lawrence of Arabia" have been shot. You will admire beautiful rivers and many Berber villages. We'll have lunch in a charming restaurant. We continue to Agdez and Tizi-n-Tinififtt (1660 m). We are driving to Zagor on a trail across the Drâa valley with many palm trees and ksours (villages). In the late afternoon we arrive in Zagora where we spend the night. 

DAY 2

Zagora-Tamegroute-M'hamid-Chegaga

After breakfast we leave to Tamegroute where we will visit the old Koranik library and the underground kasbah. We continue to M'hamid where will will have lunch and we drive on the rally Paris-Dakar track to Chegaga dunes where we go for a camel ride to admire the beautiful sunset. Dinner under the stars and night in the desert dunes under the stars.

DAY 3

Chegaga-Foum Zguid-Taznakht-Marrakech.

Early wake up in the desert to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast we leave to Foum Zguid. En route we will cross nomadic families who still live in a traditional way in the area of the Iriki lake (dry lake) which is a wet emporary zone with an impressive variety of birds. Passing Foum-Zguid we continue to Taznakht where we will have lunch, Tizi n'Tichka pass and finally Marrakech.
